Welcome to our school website!! Scoil Mhichil Naofa is a rural primary school located just outside the charming village of Galmoy in north County Kilkenny. It is a school that is steeped in history and officially opened in 1939.  Scoil Mhichil Naofa is a Catholic school which strives to provide a structured, caring, happy and secure environment where the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral, social and cultural development of the children is fully catered for. 

Mission Statement

Scoil Mhichil Naofa is a rural mixed primary school, which espouses a Catholic ethos, teaching Christian values, which will be central to all areas of religious and secular instruction in the preparation of the child for life. We aim to nurture the moral, social and academic formation of our pupils as individuals, in line with the spirit, tradition and aspirations of the local community. A happy learning environment and a spirit of co-operation shall be fostered and cherished among the staff and pupils.
